Delivery driver management, for your own drivers

If you have drivers on your own payroll, CashHub organizes the order, the assignment and the cash settlement. And we say plainly what it has and what it doesn't.

Delivery driver management: who it's for, with no exaggeration

This feature is built for a business that has its own drivers. From the dashboard you create the delivery order, assign it to a driver, and settle the cash the driver is carrying. The driver signs in to their own account and sees their own orders, and the customer gets a tracking link for the order.

Because people expect things we may not have, here are the limits up front: there is no dedicated driver app, no live map of the driver's location, and no integration with external delivery apps.

The evening before Eid at a sweets shop

Pre-orders have poured in, and you have two drivers who work for you directly. Instead of writing addresses on paper and calling them one at a time, you open the dashboard.

You create each delivery order and assign it to the driver who passes through that neighborhood. The driver signs in from their phone and sees their orders, and you see the orders assigned to each one.

At the end of the night you open each driver's account and settle the cash they collected from customers against what they hand to you, so you know the difference right then.

From order to customer, step by step

  1. Create the delivery order from the dashboard.
  2. Assign it to a driver.
  3. The driver opens the dashboard in their phone browser and sees the order in their list.
  4. The customer receives a tracking link for the order.
  5. After delivery, you settle the driver's cash.

The driver signs in from a phone browser

A driver doesn't need to install an app. They open the browser on their phone and sign in with the driver role, so they see only their own orders, not a colleague's and not the shop's sales.

Since the role is limited, you open up only what they need. You decide the permissions of every role in CashHub yourself.

Staff permissions

Settling the driver's cash

The hardest point with drivers is usually money. Each driver has their own account:

The tracking link for the customer

Customers don't have to call and ask where their order is. They receive a tracking link for the order, which usually cuts down calls at peak time. It's a link to the order itself, not a live map following the driver.

What it doesn't have, by name

Before you start delivering

  1. Decide which of your staff is a driver, and give them the driver role with limited permissions.
  2. Show the driver how to open the dashboard in their phone browser and see their list of orders.
  3. Agree with the driver on when cash is settled: after each delivery, or at the end of the shift.
  4. Run one delivery order from start to finish before you rely on it on a busy day.

Who it suits

It suits any business with its own drivers: a sweets shop, a bakery, a grocery, a restaurant with its own delivery cars. If you rely on drivers from external apps, this feature is not for you.

And if your drivers are seasonal, around Ramadan and the holidays, you set up the driver role when you need them and decide what each one sees.
