Restaurant table management: what it does
Restaurant table management in CashHub shows your dining room as a floor plan on screen, split by area. The cashier opens a table, adds items to its order, and sees every table and its order from where they stand.
If the guests move to another table, the order moves with them in one tap. That's the idea: the order follows the guest, not the table it started on.
A Friday afternoon at a family restaurant
At 4 PM a large family arrives and sits by the window. Half an hour later relatives join them, so they're moved to a bigger table in the corner.
On paper, that means crossing out the order, copying it over and telling the kitchen. In CashHub, the cashier taps move order and picks the new table, and the whole order goes with it: the items already served and the ones still coming.
And since the dining room is on screen, every table and its order is in front of you instead of hunting through slips.
Lay out your floor by area
The plan is split by area, so you can shape the dining room the way your place actually is. Name the areas so your team understands them at a glance. Some ways to divide it:
- A family section and a singles section, if your restaurant separates them.
- Outdoor seating, the majlis, or the upper floor.
- A waiting or pickup area, if you have a space set aside for it.
Moving an order from table to table
Guests change seats more often than you'd think: they want a cooler spot, someone joins them, or the outdoor seating gets too cold after sunset.
Instead of voiding the order and entering it again, you move it in a tap. The items stay as they are, and the new table's bill comes out with the original order.
Dine-in, takeaway and pickup on the same screen
A restaurant doesn't serve only the dining room. Every order is recorded with its type:
- Dine-in: an order tied to a table.
- Takeaway: an order that leaves with the customer.
- Pickup: an order that is ready and waits for the customer at the counter.
From the table to the kitchen and the register
An order opened on a table splits across kitchen stations, each item to its own station, on a screen or a printer. The cook marks it ready and the cashier sees it.
At payment, you can split one bill across cash, card and wallet. Say a group of friends after dinner: one pays cash, another by card, a third from their wallet, all on one invoice. Discounts, voids and refunds are permission-based, and staff without the permission need the manager's PIN. Every action is logged under the name of whoever did it.
If the internet drops on a Thursday night
Selling doesn't stall when the internet drops. The invoice is signed and gets its QR code on the device itself, is saved there, and syncs when the connection returns, with no loss or duplicates. The kitchen display needs the local network or server connection, and printed station tickets work too.
Floor numbers worth watching
The dashboard shows figures on your phone that help you run the dining room:
- Sales by hour, so you know when the place gets busy and when it goes quiet.
- Top-selling items and categories.
- Returns and discounts, and who made them.

Frequently asked questions
Can I move an order to another table once guests have started ordering?
Yes. You move the order from one table to another in a single tap, without re-entering the items.
Is the floor plan split into areas?
Yes. Tables show on the floor plan by area.
Is there advance table booking?
Booking tables ahead is not one of CashHub's features. What it offers is the floor plan, moving orders between tables, and the order types.
Can I sell takeaway and pickup alongside the dining room?
Yes. Dine-in, takeaway and pickup order types all live in the same system.
Can a small restaurant with a few tables use it?
Yes. The floor plan suits a small dining room or a large one, and you pay per invoice with no fixed subscription.
Do I need a device for every table?
No. Tables show on the floor plan on your devices, and CashHub runs on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows and POS terminals with built-in printers.
