A warning: the invoice is accepted with a note; fix the cause in the next invoices.

Official text

The seller address building number must contain 4 digits.

Warning · Source: ZATCA E-Invoicing SDK 238-R3.3.8 · Electronic Invoice XML Implementation Standard v1.2, 19 May 2023, §13.3.1, p. 56 · Checked: 26 October 2026

What it means

The building number in the seller address must be exactly 4 digits, as in the national address.

When it happens

How to fix it

  1. Copy the building number from the national address as it is: 4 digits.
  2. Write it with the digits 0 to 9.
  3. Put the additional number in its own field, not in the building number.

Example

Wrong: raises BR-KSA-37
<cbc:BuildingNumber>232</cbc:BuildingNumber>
Correct
<cbc:BuildingNumber>2322</cbc:BuildingNumber>

We ran the wrong example through ZATCA's SDK 238-R3.3.8 on 26 October 2026 and it raised BR-KSA-37. The example is an excerpt of ZATCA's sample Simplified/Invoice/Simplified_Invoice.xml with one change; the sample without it does not raise the code.
