Is each POS device onboarded to Fatoora with its own certificate?
Phase 2 integration applies to each device that issues invoices, and each device gets its own certificate (CSID). Ask how many devices the plan covers and who does the onboarding.
Do simplified invoices reach ZATCA within 24 hours, even if the internet drops?
ZATCA requires reporting within 24 hours of issue. Ask what happens when the internet drops, and whether sales continue and invoices are sent once it is back.
How does the system handle a rejection from the platform?
A rejection comes with a code. Ask whether the system shows the code and the reason, who fixes it, and how fast.
Do refunds produce a credit note linked to the original invoice?
Editing or deleting an invoice after it is issued is an offence in ZATCA's guide. The correct refund is a credit note carrying the original invoice number.
What is the full price for the first year?
Add up the subscription, the setup fee, extra devices and extra users. The monthly figure alone is not enough.
Is there a mandatory annual contract, and how do I cancel?
Ask about the commitment period, any cancellation fee, and whether paying yearly is required or optional.
Is the vendor listed in ZATCA's solution providers directory?
ZATCA publishes a directory of solution providers. Ask the vendor for its listing link and check it yourself on ZATCA's site.

Can I export my data and invoices if I leave?
The E-Invoicing Regulation requires invoices to be kept. Ask in what format you can download your invoices (XML) and reports, and whether export stays open after you cancel.
Do the VAT number and the business address print correctly on the invoice?
The address and the VAT number have their own rejection rules, such as
BR-KSA-09andBR-KSA-40. Ask for a test invoice and check it.Does it fit my exact business?
Restaurants need tables and a kitchen screen; retail needs barcodes and stock. Ask about your own business, not the general feature list.
Frequently asked questions
Why get the answers in writing?
Because a spoken promise does not protect you if you disagree later. An answer in an email or the contract is something both sides can point to.
Is it enough that a vendor says it is ZATCA compliant?
No. Ask about the actual Fatoora integration for each device, reporting within 24 hours, and refunds through credit notes. You can check these yourself.
Where do I find the vendors' answers?
The POS comparison shows what 20 companies published on their public pages, with a source for every cell.
